Kolkatta is the gracious capital city of West Bengal State in India. It is well connected by air, rail and road. The city which is the cultural capital of whole India and the commercial capital of Eastern India. The city was earlier known as Calcutta, being pronounced since the British rule and has changed to Kolkata officially in 2001, has derived the name from Kalikata, which is a village name in the area before the British arrival, means the land of Goddess “Kali”.
Kolkatta is the second largest city of India. It is a cosmopolitan city where people, technology and ideas have blended together with the socio-political culture to give the city a new shape. The city is full of historical monuments and palaces and is therefore also called the “The City of Palaces”. The places of sight seeing in and around kolkatta including the following.
Victoria Memorial, Eden Gardens (Stadium), Birla Planetarium, Howrah Bridge, Marble Palace, Writer's Building, Nicco Park, Saheed Minar, National Library, Belur Math, Dakshineswar, Kali Temple, Botanical Gardens etc.,
Confederation of Indian Industry Suresh Neotia Centre for Excellence is located in a 2.4 acre plot land at DC-36, Sector - 1, Salt Lake City, (Behind City Centre) Kolkata – 700 064. The total built up area of the building is 34, 925ft.
The abstract should be limited to approximately 200 words. The technical committee shall review the abstracts of all the contributing papers and select them for oral / poster presentation during the conference. Accepted papers will be published.
The technical committee shall evaluate all contributing oral and poster papers. Awards for the best papers in various categories shall be presented during the valedictory function.
Life Time awards: A senior Scientist / Professor / Researcher in Industry for his / her (25 years experience) life contributions in the field of corrosion research / corrosion education / corrosion awareness / corrosion management etc. can apply. Award : A Shield, Certificate and Cash award Rs.10,000/-
Meritorious award : Those who are having contribution in the field of corrosion science and technology on monitoring, testing, evaluation of materials and basic research / development works can apply. On the basis of publication patents / process the winner will be honoured.

Eligible candidates are requested to submit their application on or before 31.05.2012. Independent High Level Committee will evaluate the applicants.
An exhibition is being organized concurrently with the conference to provide an opportunity for the manufacturers and consultants to exhibit their products and services and to interact with the participants.
A fee of Rs.30,000/- per stall will be charged. Exhibitors will be given a free package of one page (Black & White) advertisement in the Souvenir and nomination of one delegate. Table size of 2m x 2m will be provided for each exhibitor.
