    NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Genesis

On behalf of the International Corrosion Council, the Central Electrochemical Research Institute organized the 10th International Congress on Metallic Corrosion during November, 1987 at Chennai. At this congress it was decided to setup a National Corrosion Council of India (NCCI) for effective dissemination of knowledge on corrosion and its control and also to serve as a focal body for research and development in the field of Corrosion Science and Engineering in the country.

NCCI started functioning from 1990. It is located in the premises of the CECRI, Karaikudi, Tamilnadu.

Membership

Only nominated institutional members from various major industries/institutions and public sector undertakings.
